Past Passenger Programmes

Most cruise lines will enroll you in their past-passenger programme when you take your first cruise. These can be single level or multi-tiered and offer a variety of different benefits.

Level one and single level schemes usually offer:

  • a newsletter
  • an onboard cocktail reception
  • member-only discounts on future cruises.

Higher levels will require you to have taken 3/5 cruises with the line and may offer:

  • cabin upgrades
  • preferential boarding and disembarkation
  • pre-sailing dining reservations
  • priority on shore excursion waitlists
  • shipboard credit for you to spend on your cruise.

Be cautious of the special discount fares offered if you book direct with the cruise line - you can usually do much better with discounts through a Travel Agent. But remember to tell your agent if you are a member of a past passenger programme and you want to book with that line.
